Noblemen Group, an investment banking and business development company, with offices worldwide, has donated funds to the Outreach Africa Water Program to repair and maintain a well and water distribution system which will provide reliable access to clean water for the Iambi hospital, the only medical facility in the remote village of Nkungi, Tanzania, Africa.

The entire population of Nkungi and the five surrounding villages is critically dependant upon the hospital for basic medical needs. Without access to clean water, the hospital cannot provide the much needed medical care. The Noblemen donation comes in response to a direct request from the Chief Doctor of the hospital, who stated that the need for water is the highest priority and biggest challenge facing the hospital.

According to David Ferran, Managing Director of Noblemen, “Water is an essential element that simply cannot be done without. The people in this drought stricken region are suffering and dying from lack of water. Any program aimed at creating sustainable transformation in this region must begin by addressing the basic human need for clean, safe drinking water and then move on to water for medical needs, hygiene, sanitation and ultimately irrigation.”

Noblemen Group is spearheading an effort to raise corporate awareness of the plight of the people in Sub-Saharan Africa and is mobilizing corporate sponsors and donors to supplement and support Outreach Africa’s ongoing efforts in the region.
