Ion Metrics, a San Diego, CA based company, teamed up with local community members to provide the funding for freight to ship 285,120 meals to the Ilunda Ward, Tanzania.

The meals are part of a shipment of food which will provide a school lunch to over 7,000 students in the 5 villages that make up the Ilunda Ward. These school lunches will be the only meal that many of the children will have each day, due to the lack of food which has been exacerbated by the drought conditions.

Dr. Said Boumseliek, President, commented, “We recognize that even small companies, like Ion Metrics, can make a positive difference by being good global citizens”.
